I was dithering as to whether to edit some of Dad's writing about things not pertaining to him personally but then realised this was important, how his situation sat within the political/economic climate at the time. I'm glad I did.Trishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00119443727504215312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596026357087182485.post-69310057912000899432011-09-30T11:56:48.365-07:002011-09-30T11:56:48.365-07:00Your poor dad's knee. It would have to be a fairly major injury before families would seek help. My dad did need to be in hospital for some time when he was 13 and it would have been 1947, but he doesn't mention the cost (I'll be writing this part of his story quite soon).Trishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00119443727504215312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596026357087182485.post-24046329215995008212011-09-27T12:55:50.939-07:002011-09-27T12:55:50.939-07:00So weird to think how quickly we package ourselves...So weird to think how quickly we package ourselves off to A&E these days for often the smallest of scrapes when a generation ago people dealt with it all themselves and just got on with it.Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02133900289384226725noreply@blogger.com
